BMW has formally revealed their new X6 Active Hybrid. Provided with a 400 hp 4.4-liter double-turbocharged V8 engine and deuce electric synchronic motors having being rated at 91 hp and 86 hp, the X6 Active Hybrid will have a joint highest output of 480 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque. This exceptional gear train changes the X6 Hybrid to speed up from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds, before attaining a determined top speed of 130 mph. More significantly, the hybrid provides a 20% enhancement in standard fuel consumption according to EU testing and a CO2 expelling rating of 231 grams per kilometer.
The engine is coupled to a double-mode dynamic conduction with 2 electric motors, 3 planetary gear sets, and 4 multi-plate clutches. When the car is at its low speed then it uses only one electric motor but as and when extra power is needed the 2nd motor mechanically begins the combustion engine. This is the feature which makes the X6 AH a “complete hybrid” as it can run solely on electric power at speeds up to 37 mph (60 km/h) for up to 1.6 miles.
The X6 AH also boasts of an electronic power steering arrangement, an Auto Start/Stop arrangement, a changed suspension, a lightweight halting system, a “power dome” bonnet, and 20” light-alloy Aero wheels.
