The BMW 1-Series M Coupe has been selected as the authorized pace or safety car of the 2011 MotoGP season.
The security car is a unique prototype by BMW’s M section which participates in little with the fabrication prototype apart from the drivetrain. That would be the 250 kW or 340 PS / 334 bhp twin-turbo in order 3.0 liter six-cylinder.
Alterations on this unique pace car include the usage of carbon-fiber elements, suchlike for the new hood with big air intakes, and polycarbonate side and back windows.
