Future BMW 2-Series FWD

Something is positively happening in BMW’s growth strategies. Based on information from the American auto magazine Car and Driver, BMW is formulating three new replicas, which includes a new 2-Series.

The new prototypes include a minicab established on the BMW Megacity conception, an Audi A1-vying FWD BMW intended under the 1-Series and a new 2-Series.

Based on the report, BMW’s entry-level rear-wheel drive model is to become the future 2-Series while the 1-Series, beside the minicab and the little hatch prototypes intended under it, would be FWDs.

The reports that BMW contrives to change the 1-Series to a front-wheel drive program in 2015 may make clear why BMW has been so mysterious about just how many forms or body modes would be deduced from its new FWD platform. The front-drive 1-Series may also gain from the fresh FWD hybrid scheme BMW is formulating with PSA Group.

BMW of late registered trademark applications in the United States for the plates 228, 230, and 235, which indicate that a 6-cylinder power plant for the new 2-Series, even though, BMW’s marking no longer invariably represents to what is under the bonnet.
