BMW has by now established this is an April fool’s joke. But this press publish extends with the flight of the imagination that this M3 pickup is the 4th body style version variant in the M3 serial after the vehicle, adaptable and sedan.

The only query is, is there any truth to the specifications they furnish here and we can merely take them at their word on that.

The M3 lift up comes with a 309 kW/420 PS that is 414 bhp power plant and a back load capacity of 450 kg – which straits sensible enough. The cd quotient that is the aerodynamic flow in the wind channel is the same as on the M3 Coupe and its peak speed is 300 km/h that is 186 mph.

The spy shot of this car was spotted while doing its rounds at the Nürburgring and this is a real fact. The output range is precisely as the 4.0 liter V8 that goes into the M3. The M3 also features 400 Nm that is 295 lb-ft of torsion.

BMW apprehends to this constituting a rarity prototype in the press release and it can said to be very true confidently.

Wide-ranging drive and suspension technology from the BMW M3 can be believed to be true since testing has been finished on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife – 420 hp and 450 kg load capacity – world first showing on 1 April 2011.

Following the BMW M3 Coupe, BMW M3 Convertible and BMW M3 Sedan, a fourth body version of this worldwide victorious high-performance sports car is more or less to induce a stimulate. Under the most rigid secretiveness, the world’s first superior pickup has been produced at the BMW M GmbH developing centre. The most sporting model by far in this fomite class, the BMW M3 Pickup will arouse the visions of all automobilists with a profound admiration of top show coordinated by an enthusiastic sensible bent. 309 kW/420 hp under the cap and a back-axle load capacity of up to 450 kilos take the stamp BMW M association between race-tailored forcing delight and daily usefulness to a completely new level. This only one of its kind vehicle with widespread test and set-up drives on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife.

With this fomite, BMW M GmbH once more renders proof of its excellent capability in formulating and building top-quality, individual dream cars. With a high revving up V8 engine at the facade, a munificently sized load area at the rear and a detachable Targa roof above, driver and riders in the BMW M3 Pickup will enjoy an unexampled take on the recognizable M feeling.

The curb weight of the world’s quickest pickup undercuts that of the BMW M3 Convertible by approximately 50 kilograms. Getting rid of the Targa roof knocks off an additional 20 kg whilst at the same time letting down the car’s center of gravity. This most extraordinary experience of top-down driving delight in a BMW M3 thus blends hand in hand with additional optimized energetic dealing.

The sensible characteristics of the BMW M3 Pickup are no less telling. Maximal load capability has been lifted to 450 kilograms. The load bed of the BMW M3 Pickup is clothed in top-quality integrated aluminum sheeting and furnishes the largest cargo capacity ever extended on a BMW M vehicle.

In spite of these indisputable stand-out characters, the BMW M3 Pickup will not be leading for the golf course or serial growth, but will hold back its position as a single one-off. It is appropriated for use as a workshop carry vehicle for BMW M GmbH.

It has been confirmed that BMW will be using a smaller turbo engine for the 2013 M3. It has been confirmed the upcoming ditching of the current V8 format. The naturally-drew out 4.0-litre V8 produces 309kW (420hp) and 400Nm of torque. Previous generation M3s used four and six-cylinder motors.
A report confirms that a new six-cylinder will be fitted but it will not be the same 3.0-litre twin turbo that is used in the 135i and 335i models. BMW is fiddling with the idea of a V6 for the M3. The new engine may not be more powerful than the V8 but the car would be light to counter this power handicap.
Finally assumption is that the M5 will get its cylinders cut to meet severe emissions laws and fuel economy standards. The M5 and M6 will have a double turbo V8 motor dismissing less than 5.0-litres.
