Till now, verification of vehicle safety was been obtained by means of crash tests in which structural unity and constraint organizations were tested in a non-braked situation. But as of now due to modern electronics such as those also boasted in the new BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series, defensive systems that admonish the driver beforehand of an accident and train the driver and the car for shock in the event of an inevitable crash, are becoming more and more extensively acknowledged.

Future testing processes will have to make adjustments for the consequence of preventive protection systems. In a current world debut, the BMW 530d effectively passed a crash test concerning brake interference at the service of the Deutscher Kraftfahrzeug-Überwachungs-Verein (DEKRA) in Neumünster near Hamburg.

Earlier testing adeptness was not able to permit authentication of the consequence of preventive occupier protection systems in crash tests. The illustrative test enforced by BMW in partnership with DEKRA is the first step in trying out future pre-crash settings, as in the years ahead inventions in dynamic safety will be found in a modifying number of vehicles, with BMW playing a contributing role.

BMW has established that its next all-new 5-Series will rein in a degree of aerodynamic scheme to decrease fuel usage and reduce emissions.

As an element of the 2nd generation fuel economy Efficient Dynamics package, BMW’s rival Mercedes-Benz E-Class, assures class-best aerodynamics which includes an innovational air curtain that produces a practical ‘fairing’ close to the rear wheels.
BMW has designed a drag of 30% to be generated by the tyres and wind disorder around the wheel arches.

In screens the air curtain cut drag between 5-10%. This is adequate to see considerable fuel economy and a decrease in emissions.

Future BMWs might also show off vigorous brake vent-holes that is capable to cool the brakes only when required. The new aerodynamic discoveries are the outcome of a immense 170m venture in 2 wind turbines at the Munich plant in Germany.

The all-new greasier BMW 5-Series is anticipated to be on sale in the UK from next March.

Succeeding small BMWs petrol engines will benefit turbocharger and have straight insertion and will gain from both Valvematic that boundlessly changes valve lift and Vanos that changes ingestion.

Chris Bangle BMW-Designer

Chris Bangle BMW-Designer

According to BMWTalk, Chris Bangle is leaving BMW. Like BMWTalk is saying, he was the most controversial in the recent history.
Bangle was the first American that joined the BMW design department in 1992. He worked together with his design team for the current 3- and 5-series.

A qoute of BMWTalk what we do like is:

Bangle is known for the ill-mannered nickname “Bangle Butt”, a term that has become tantamount with the distinct rear ends of the BMW models designed and produced during Bangle’s reign.

We hope his leaving won’t effect the upcoming models of BMW to much. We of BMW-News do like the famous rear ends of the current BMW’s.
