It is for the first time that a single voice command is adequate to fully broadcast the driver’s intention into the steering system. The driver’s spoken statement giving details of place, street and number is worked on instantaneously by the system. All the data directly enter into the navigation unit.

BMW is the first European car manufacturer offering voice identification. The BMW system supervises and translates the user’s voice commands with regard to the type of music, the name of the artist etc.

The new system is available in different languages and is obtainable in Germany and Austria, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, and the USA.
