BMW has now issued authorized particulars of the all-new 2012 1 Series. The all-new, second generation BMW 1 Series engages a typical niche within its section, and stays the lone rear-wheel drive car in its class. But it also stays to some extent too unique, holding the same bread van outline as its ancestor and the kind of looks that only a Mother could love.
With a retooled array of boosted TwinPower petrol and diesel engines, the new BMW 1 Series extends an even more sporty drive besides increased fuel-efficiency. This is illustrated best by the new 116d ED which turns the first output BMW to break the 100g/km discharges brink.
Longer and wider than the prototype it substitutes, with altered space for passengers and luggage, the cabin boasts a brand new design and is depicted as being more easy and luxuriant.
The second-generation BMW 1 Series has 83mm length which is more than its predecessor, and is 14mm wider and 30mm longer in the wheelbase, making a perceptibly bigger but also sportier car. BMW’s press issue states “the new 1 Series design as giving the car the look of a Coupé, but unless of course we’re looking at a different set of pictures, it looks to be the same dumpy hatchback as before.”
BMW’s current inventions have more often than not established hard to captivate with a photographers lens, so for now the judgement about its looks is reserved until it is seen in the metal form.

It is astonishing what makers are accomplishing these days with the modest internal combustion engine. The caption shape for BMW’s new 1 Series comes from its 116d EfficientDynamics model, which gives a turnout of 114 bhp at the same time as making a mean fuel consumption of 74.3 mpg, but at the same time giving out a 99 g/km of CO2. The question is “How long will it be before we see a mainstream production car averaging over 100 mpg?”
As expected, there is prosperity of trick technology tangled in delivering such frugalness, Auto Start-Stop, an eight-speed gearbox (the first in its class) and a new ECO PRO mode, triggered off by means of the Drive Performance Control (included as standard), which adapts a range of on-board systems to maximize efficiency. When in ECO PRO mode the throttle reaction is adapted to promote a more economical driving style. The additional economy produced in ECO PRO style is fed back to the driver, with the in-car displays depicting the extra number of miles attained by driving more expeditiously.
The inner of the new BMW 1 Series boasts a spanking new and young-looking mixture of typical BMW design characteristics and new innovational handlings, with surfaces made from good quality, meticulously completed materials. The characteristic BMW driver direction is perceptible in the angled exhibits and checks of the central instrument panel, while the inner surfaces are superimposed with new superior-quality materials, providing the interior of the new BMW 1 series with a natural look and feel.
As a result of the augmented length and width of the new 1 Series, rear-seat riders gain from a added 20mm of leg room than the departing model. There is more storage space inside the car, with big front door pockets, two cup holders on the center console and a spacious glove compartment.
The new fangled BMW 1 Series will be for sale in the UK on 17 September 2011, with a selection of three diesel and two petrol engines. Prices begin from £19,375 OTR for a BMW 116i ES.

BMW has unrestricted photos and more information on the growth of the Vision EfficientDynamics conception which the product is now saying it will take to making. The most recent iteration of the Vision EfficientDynamics will also be put on show at the Leipzig trade fair taking place this month.
The Vision EfficientDynamics is a 2+2 sport car which runs on BMW’s ActiveHybrid technology. The heart of the ActiveHybrid technology in the Vision EfficientDynamics is the cross set-up which pairs a 3-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with a ‘hybrid synchronous’ electric motor at the face and a “full-hybrid” engine on the back axle, as BMW clarifies it in the press release.
The conception of BMWs’ Vision EfficientDynamics characterizes the future of driving contentment. Since its world debut at the IAA 2009 it has received numerous awards both for its innovative design and its revolutionary engine technology.
Range on the Vision EfficientDynamics is 50 km that is 31 mi on electrical power only but a 24 liter tank for the diesel fuel widens that in profusion to 700 km which is 434 mi. Wing doors smooth the progress of entry to both rows of seats, while all-embracing aerodynamic actions decrease the drag coefficient to 0.22.

Based on a version to the InsideLine an unnamed “senior BMW authority out of Munich” stated that the German auto manufacturer will certainly manufacture a production edition of the Vision EfficientDynamics conception which was introduced last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. BMW is apparently scheduling for a replica run between 5,000 and 10,000 units in the year 2013. Phew stated that “We’ll get to the details in a moment, but here’s the best news: That name that the marketing people forced on us [is] going to change for sure.”

www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLGygbCr3sg

Evidently, BMW is not planning to dump the revolutionary plug-in crossbreed power train, which stretch out 356 horsepower and of course a whooping 590 pound-feet of torsion in the conception. This only means that we will receive something comparable to the turbocharged 3-cylinder diesel variety extender and double electric motors catered by a lithium polymer battery pack. This was actually boasted in Frankfurt motor show. Sounds grand so far, and BMW arrogates the operation will even improve to more than the 4.8-second 0 to 60 run cited for the conception.

Of course a few of the Vision’s more bizarre external bits will follow the path of the Dodo. But the latest reports by the IL states that BMW’s objective of weight is still below 3,000 pounds. This only means that eminent-technique complexes and production techniques are a genuine lock. Prices for this next-generation eco-friendly super car have not being yet announced.
